 FAITH IN THE BLOOD
(Hebrews 9; Eph.1:7, 2:13, Col 1:20)

INTRODUCTION
WHAT IS FAITH?
It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead (Heb 11: 1). Faith is defined as the conviction of the reality. Faith is seeing things that were not as though they were”. It is also displacing a fact with another fact. Faith is the ear that hears and receives the word of God. It listens attentively to understand what God says. Faith sees the invisible (Hebrews 11:1).
Faith can be divided into two:
·     Believe (the substance of the things hope for)
·     Assurance (the evidence of things not seen)
THE BLOOD OF JESUS
Blood is the fluid that circulates through the body of a person or vertebrate animals. Aside from reference to the common physical substance, the term blood has a number of symbolic uses in the bible.
·     ‘blood of the grape’ means wine (Deut 32:14)
·     ‘flesh and blood’ means human life (Matt 16:17)
·     ‘sinned in betraying innocent blood’ (Matt 27:14)

The blood of Jesus as seen in Colossians. 1:20 serves as a tool of reconciliation between man and God. Wherever a covenant is being mentioned, blood is always involved. Blood seals an agreement between two or more people. The blood of Jesus opens the realm of grace and closes the realm of the law stated in the book of Hebrews. Fellowship with God is possible only with the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus serves as a symbol of bond between man and God.

PURPOSE OF HIS BLOOD (JESUS CHRIST)
(Hebrews 9:12-25).
·     Obtaining eternal redemption for us
·     purge our conscience from dead works to serve God
·     To become the mediator of the New Testament
·     For the remission of sin
·     The blood gives boldness to enter into the hollies (Heb. 10:19)
·     The blood of Jesus is the seal of the New Covenant
·     The blood of Jesus gives victory (Rev. 12:11)

Faith in the blood is the assurance and believing that the blood of Jesus is shed for the remission of sins.
The blood of Jesus was taken within the veil of the temple in eternal spirit to obtain redemption by entrancing into the holy of holies (Matthew 27: 51). In Leviticus 16:15, it says that the blood was sprinkle on the mercy seat and within the mercy seat in the Old Testament. Also, the blood of Jesus Christ was also sprinkled on the mercy seat that is why the bible says “let us therefore now come boldly unto the throne of grace (Mercy Seat) that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”.
If you believe on these things and you have the assurance on it, it will give ability to walk in reality of the blood of Jesus.
FAITH TO PARTAKE IN THE BLESSING OF THE BLOOD
The bible says “according to your faith be it unto you” (Matt 9:29). It is only by faith that we can enjoy all that the blood has obtained for us. The blood brought the destruction of sin and its consequences.
The first requirement for a full faith in the blood is a spiritual knowledge of the word of God. The spiritual knowledge here does not refer to mere knowledge of the word.  (1 Corinthians 2:12).
The believer who desires to understand completely the blessed power of the blood must submit entirely to the teaching of the word through the Holy Spirit in the private. (Rom 10:17).
HOW FAITH IS IMPARTED TO US
Faith in God is an act of the spiritual life. It is Christ who is our life and who imparts faith to us. It is in fellowship with Him that faith is active. He is the author and the finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2). In Jesus, the light that leads to the full assurance of faith is always found (Hebrews 10:22).
CONCLUSION
Hebrews 10:29 explains it all. The blood has brought a great redemption. Your faith in the bloods gives you an automatic carrier. The blood has given us an identity as God’s original plan for man. Blessed be to God, for the blood of Christ is the bedrock of our faith.
“If ye know all these things, happy (blessed) are ye if ye do them” –John 13:17
